- For the final project, please use the ACL (Association for Computational Linguistics) paper format (template provided in the Midway report guidelines), which is commonly used for NLP and computational linguistics conferences.
- ACL submissions typically follow either a short (4 pages) or long (8 pages) format.
Length guidelines
- If you choose the short paper format:
- Your final report should be 4 pages (excluding references and appendices).
- If you choose the long format:
- Your final report should be 8 pages (excluding references and appendices).
✦ Submission
- Upload your file to MyCourses.
- All group members must submit the report, but you should submit the same version for your group.
✦ Evaluation (15 points total)
- Originality (1): Does the paper demonstrate original thinking, meaningful insights, or thoughtful interpretation of the results?
- Format (1): Does the paper follow the ACL format?
- Clarity & Writing Quality (2): Is the writing concise, clear, and academically appropriate?
- Structure & Organization (2): Is the paper well organized with a clear logical flow?
- Introduction (1): Does the introduction clearly present the research problem, motivation, and overall goal of the study?
- Background / Related Work (2): Does the paper effectively synthesize and connect relevant prior work to the current study?
(If specific feedback was provided in the midway report, improvement in this area will be taken into account.)
- Method & Experimental Detail (3): Are the methods and experimental setup clearly and thoroughly described?
(If specific feedback was provided in the final presentation, improvement in this area will be taken into account.)
- Results & Analysis (2): Are the results clearly presented and appropriately interpreted?
- Conclusion (1): Does the conclusion clearly summarize the findings and connect back to the research goal?
